Mini DP to HDMI 8K Adapter - PF352K8
Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 8K@30Hz adapter, aluminium shell with nylon-woven cable — for MacBook, iMac, Surface and ThinkPad sources with a Mini DP output.
Overview
The PF352K8 takes a Mini DisplayPort input and outputs HDMI at up to 8K@30Hz. Mini DP is the laptop and all-in-one connector: MacBooks, iMacs and Mac minis of a long generation, Microsoft Surface devices, and many Lenovo ThinkPad and Dell business machines and their docking stations.
Those are precisely the machines used for design, video and engineering work, and they are frequently driving large high-resolution panels. The problem this solves is that the source has a small Mini DP socket while the display takes HDMI — and that an adapter not rated for the resolution will negotiate quietly down to something lower rather than telling the user why the panel is not running natively.
The range differs only in the input connector: the PF355K8 takes full-size DisplayPort for desktop graphics cards and workstations, and the PF403K8 takes USB-C for current thin laptops and tablets. All three deliver the same HDMI 8K@30Hz output, so the model is chosen purely by the socket on the source machine.
Construction is an aluminium shell with a nylon-woven cable and OFC oxygen-free copper conductors. Branding and packaging are customisable for OEM/ODM orders.
