The MP290 terminates in HDMI™ Type D — Micro HDMI™ — at one end and full-size HDMI™ Type A at the other. Micro HDMI™ is the smallest of the three HDMI™ connectors, and the ordering mistake it invites is being confused with Mini HDMI™, which is visibly similar and completely incompatible.

Micro HDMI™ is used where there is no room for anything larger: action cameras, drones and gimbals, compact and bridge cameras, some tablets and phones, single-board computers such as the smaller Raspberry Pi models, and portable field monitors.
