What should I do when the sample does not match mass production?

Freeze the approved sample as a golden sample with a signature and a photo set, and make it the contractual reference.

Answer: turn the approved sample into a signed golden sample, and write the comparison method into the contract.

  1. Retain both samples — one at the factory, one at your side, sealed and signed.
  2. Define what is compared — jacket print, colour, connector plating, dimensions, E-Marker read-out, and a functional test at the target resolution/rate.
  3. Define the acceptance — the mass-production lot must match the golden sample within stated tolerances.
  4. Define the remedy — rework, replacement or rejection, and who pays freight.

Without a golden sample, "it looks the same" is the whole argument.
